Traders have at times told me that they don't expect success because they don't have the ability to trade like their heroes since they aren't as well "equipped". It is easy to rationalize that we don't have what it takes to trade in a like manner. What these traders don't realize is that there really isn't a significant physical or IQ difference between them and successful traders. Much of it has to do with how those traders trained their brains. They learned how to "wire" their brains to their benefit. We can continue to build our experiences and memories of how to correctly identify market conditions and circumstances. Doing so, we are able to improve our decision making capabilities with respect to trading or any other study we undertake. SUNDAY GUEST SPEAKER John Needham ::: Danielcode X Charts The major errors created by standard charting techniques are a function of their construct. Standard studies and indicators treat inside bars in just the same way as any other bar and inside bars are the number one source of errors in stochastics and MACDs. Inside bars are either periods of lost momentum or uncertainty, and have become much more prevalent on short term charts with the advent of 24 hour markets. To get a readable chart that elimitantes these errors we turn to the Danielcode X charts which have neither inside or outside bars and which form their bars based on volatility without regard to time or price. This technique enables us to view trading charts in an entirely new light. Project X and it's short term charts, suitable for 1-5 day swing traders and Day Traders alike, have been in development for years.
